Age of Admittance |
Children are welcome to attend nursery from three months to 8 years. |
Sessions |
Full Day:
8:00am - 5:30pm. Includes breakfast, mid morning snack, two course lunch and tea.
Morning:
8:00am - 1:00pm. Includes breakfast, mid morning snack and two course lunch.
Afternoon:
1:00pm - 5:30pm includes high tea. |
Fees |
We request that fees are paid monthly in advance. To make life easier we can collect by Standing Order. |
Holidays and Absences |
The nursery will close for all statutory bank holidays. In order to minimise the risk of infection, a child with an infectious illness will be excluded from nursery. Sickness or absence from nursery will not qualify for a reduction on fees.

Notice |
One months notice is required to terminate the nursery placement, or one month's fees in lieu of notice. Your child's fees are still payable for the months notice even if they do not attend nursery. |
Child Care Tax Credit |
You may be entitled to claim up to 70% of child care costs through the Child Care Tax Credit. It is based upon individual circumstances so telephone 0845 609 5000 to find out what you could receive. |
Family Discount |
Where children from the same family attend nursery for three or more days per week the youngest child will receive a 10% discount on their monthly fees. |
Staff |
Staff are required to care for children and are police cleared. |
Staff Ratios |
To provide the best possible care our staff ratios are high:
0 - 2 years: 1 staff per 3 children
2 - 3 years: 1 staff per 4 children
3 - 5 years: 1 staff per 8 children
Our staff will maintain developmental records for each child which show progress made during their time at Rainbow. These records are available for parents to look through and discuss with staff at any time.

Key Person system |
Your child will be allocated to a particular member of staff who will help your child to settle into nursery and support them on a daily basis. This member of staff will be your child's key personn. Their main responsibility will be to ensure your child is developing a range of skills and is settled and happy. They will share information with you, about your child's achievements, on a regular basis.
